Huntington softball Alayna Lytle will be on the prestigious Queen of Diamonds
Alayna Lytle, a sophomore at Huntington High School, has been selected to participate in the Queen of Diamonds North college softball showcase event, which will be held January 5th-6th at Kent State University. The event is in its 18th year, with nearly 2,000 applicants each year from 30+ states and 2 Canadian Provinces. Just under 300 athletes are selected to participate in the event and are accepted based on an application process, evaluating ability, potential, academics, grad year, coaches requests, and referrals.
Alayna was selected to participate as a third baseman.
In her freshman season, she was first team all SVC and all Southeast District Selection. She also played for the Central Ohio Lady Vipers-Silver travel softball team, which finished fifth at the National Softball Association National Event held this past summer.
