W. Muskingum Stands Tall to ZT
A front line that measured three players of over 6'0 tall was too much for the Volleyball Pioneers

Zane Trace had no answer for the giant front-line of the West Muskingum Tornadoes Thursday, falling in straight sets 25-20, 25-13, 25-17 in the Division 3 Regional Volleyball Semis at Logan High School.

West Muskingum had double digit kills from each of their three 6'0 plus hitters, getting 17 from 6'3 Dylana McKenzie, 11 from her twin-sister Dakota and 10 kills from 6'1 Macy Meadows.

ZT hung close in the first set, after falling behind 22-17, they battled back to within 22-20, but could get no closer. The Pioneers never threatened that late again in the next two sets.

The Pioneers were led by senior Delaney Spetnagle and junior Hayley Carle with 9 kills each, while Spetnagle added 10 digs. Kylan Strausbaugh had 12 digs and 3 kills and Alyx Chaffin had 4 kills.

Zane Trace ends their season with their first SVC and district championships since 1985 and a record of (23-4).

(24-2) West Muskingum advances to play defending regional runner-up Bloom Carroll, who mashed Nelsonville York 25-11, 25-12, 25-13.
