Westfall Hits Potential in Win vs SE
The Mustangs shoot 50% in a 75-64 win against the Panthers

Despite a (3-10) record going into Friday, the Westfall Mustangs lived-up to some of their earlier expectations with an impressive 75-64 win against the Southeastern Panthers.

The Mustangs shot 26/52- including 5/15 from the arc for 50%, while also going 18/26 from the foul line. That combined with only 11 turnovers lifted Westfall to their second win against the Panthers this season. The first win was in overtime.

Southeastern recovered from two 21-point deficits and 29% shooting in the first half, rallying to within 8 points twice, but got no closer. For the game, Southeastern shot 26/60 from the field for 43%- including 7/23 from the arc. They managed only 5/11 from the foul line. In the loss, the Panthers out-rebounded Westfall 34-26.

Westfall had four players in double figures, led by Doug Hardin with 16 points/9 rebounds. Alek Stonerock added 14 points/9 rebounds and 3 blocks. Jon Thomas and Cody See each had 11 points.

Southeastern was led by Dylan Miles with 14 points, 13 points/8 rebounds from Austin Hice, and 11 points/10 rebounds from Jordan Allen.



The Panthers fall to (5-5/8-7) while Westfall improves to (4-6/4-10).

Southeastern hosts SVC leader (8-1) Piketon Saturday on 94 Country WKKJ, with airtime at approximately 7:20pm.
