The Lady Warriors shot 60% from the field in a 60-37 title win Tuesday
It will be a repeat for the Adena Lady Warriors as SVC basketball champs, as they sailed to a convincing 60-37 win at Unioto.
Adena led after every stop, blowing the game open in the second half. They led 16-5, 26-19, 43-28 and then the 60-37 final.
The Lady Warriors were sizzling from the field, shooting 64% in the first quarter, 44% in the second, 70% in the third and 67% in the fourth. Their totals were 24/40- including 3/5 from the arc for 60%.
Unioto was stymied on offense, shooting a chilly 10/39 for only 26% for the game, including 3/14 from the arc.
Adena was 9/17 from the foul line and Unioto 14/21. Another factor for the two-shade blue was the rebounding, winning that battle 32-16. The only thing that wasn't A+ was 17 turnovers for Adena. Unioto had 14.
Adena had three players in double figures, but had great balance throughout. Jenny Grigsby led the way with 21 points, but Natalie Cooper did just about everything asked of her. Cooper had 16 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocked shots.

Michelle Ackley added 10 points, Alyssa Dawson had 8 points and 6 rebounds, while Alyssa Kennedy added 9 rebounds.
Unioto's Alexis Overly and Mallory Retherford each scored 10 points, while Ashley Flautt had 7 points and 8 rebounds.
(12-1/18-2) Adena concludes their regular season at home Thursday against Paint Valley while (11-2/14-7) Unioto travels to Westfall.
