98 year old Cavs coaching legend passed away Thursday evening.
Chillicothe lost one of its charter members of the CHS Athletic Hall of Fame Thursday evening, Robert Bobo who passed away at the age of 98.
Bobo, who last May saw his son Phil inducted into the Hall, came to Chillicothe City Schools as a teacher and coached Track and Field from 1957 to 1981. Bobo established a program which recorded 204 dual match wins and another 200 invitational meet victories. Bobo also began the Chillicothe’s Cross Country program in 1963. He was inducted into the Ohio High School Track Coaches Hall of Fame in 1973. In 1998, the track encircling Herrnstein Field was named Bob and Phil Bobo Track.
